Chicken soup for the sick soul 🍜 •
I found a recipe for soup for colds on @allrecipes and I modified it according to the ingredients I had available at home. I made it super spicy, just the way I like it but I have to say it did clear my ENT👂🏻👃🏻🗣
~Cook 1 tbsp of chopped ginger in sesame oil.
~Pour 1 ltr. of chicken stock and simmer for 10 mins. ~Roughly chop spinach and add into the pot ~Cook 1 onion on the side and add into the broth (you can add carrots, broccoli or any other vegetables you have at home)
~Boil some spaghetti on the side which you’ll add as the end.
~I cooked boneless chicken (cut into bite sized pieces) in sesame oil. In case you’re vegetarian you can grill tofu or paneer and add that at the end to the broth. ~For the seasoning; 1tsp salt, pinch of black pepper, grated fresh turmeric, peri peri powder (depends how spicy you like it) ~Though the recipe said ginger powder and jalapeños, which I didn’t have, I went a little #OTT and added little bit garam masala and chai masala. Now anyone who knows these flavours can imagine what kind of kick this soup had, which did help with my cold. I enjoyed it with my father @sharad334 with whom I also had a good laugh regarding my spicy Indian born Japanese meets African palate. 😝
